Nikita Filatov Returned to Crunch, Sebastian Dahm Recalled

Syracuse, NY (October 28, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned center Nikita Filatov to the Crunch. In addition, the Crunch have recalled goaltender Sebastian Dahm from Johnstown (ECHL).

Filatov, 18, has appeared in two games with the Crunch this season, posting two goals. He has also appeared in four games with Columbus this year and scored a goal in his first National Hockey League game October 17 vs. Nashville.

A native of Moscow, Russia, Filatov was drafted by Columbus in the first round, sixth overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Dahm, 21, has appeared in two games with the Crunch this season, going 0-1-0-0 with a 5.31 goals-against average and .875 save percentage. He has also appeared in one game with Johnstown this year, recording his first professional win while recording 19 saves.

A native of Copenhagen, Denmark, Dahm was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on September 1, 2008.

The Crunch continue their 15th AHL season on Wednesday, October 29, as they begin a four-game road trip at Grand Rapids.
