
Atlanta Assigns Hoffman To Wolves

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned right wing Mike Hoffman to the Chicago Wolves.
The 28-year-old forward has not appeared in any games with the Thrashers this season. Last season, HOFFMAN played in 38 contests with the American Hockey League's Portland Pirates, notching five goals, eight points and 81 penalty minutes. He also added two points (G, A) in 11 Calder Cup Playoff matchups.
Overall, the Scituate, Mass., native has registered 18 goals, 45 points and 513 penalty minutes in 221 career AHL games spanning five seasons with the Worcester IceCats (2003-04), Cleveland Barons (2004-05), Toronto Marlies (2005-06), Manchester Monarchs (2006-07), and Pirates (2006-08). He also skated in 25 ECHL contests with the Peoria Rivermen, tallying nine points (2G, 7A) and 16 penalty minutes in 2003-04.
Prior to turning pro, HOFFMAN played two seasons at the University of Connecticut (Atlantic Hockey) from 2002 to 2004, recording 10 points (2G, 8A) in 31 outings.
