November 15, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Mississippi RiverKings' second "Highway Clean-up Day" for this year is set for this Saturday, November 20th, with refreshments and lunch for volunteers who RSVP.
Do-gooders and friends will find the RiverKings staff and friends on the stretch of U.S Highway 51 between Starlanding Road to Church Road from around 8 AM on November 20th until about 12 Noon. For those volunteers who RSVP, donuts and coffee will be provided to the early risers and a cookout lunch will be available after the efforts conclude.
"We host one of these days in the late spring and again in the fall," RiverKings Director of Business Operations Dave "Ab" Mattice said. "We really believe it's important to take care of the community that takes care of us, and the Mississippi Adopt-A-Highway program gives us one more way to tangibly show that commitment."
In case of rain that morning, the event will be re-scheduled. To RSVP, or for more information, call the RiverKings office at 662-342-1755 or email communitydevelopment@riverkings.com.
The RiverKings are in the midst of its 19th season of professional hockey in the Mid-South. Flex-8 and Flex-16 ticket packages are a great holiday gift idea. For more information, call the RiverKings at 662-342-1755 or go online to www.riverkings.com today!
