The RiverKings and Scorpions play in a special Martin Luther King Junior Day matinee today. It will be the final of four meetings between the teams this season. Memphis is 1-2 against New Mexico this season. The RiverKings are coming off a 2-1 overtime-loss on Saturday night. The Scorpions had a wild two-game series with Wichita over the weekend, losing 9-6 on Friday and winning 8-6 on Saturday. They are 5-5 in their last ten games. Memphis is 3-1-1 in their last five games. The Scorpions are led by Randy Murphy with 21 goals and 25 assists. His 46 points tie him for fifth on the C.H.L. scoring leaders list. All-Star goaltender Miguel Beaudry gave up 13 goals in the two games with Wichita to see his goals-against-average rise to 3.21.
