YOUNGSTOWN, OH --- The Youngstown Steelhounds won their fifth straight game as they defeated the Memphis RiverKings 4-1 Friday night at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown. The two teams will wrap up their three game set in eastern Ohio tomorrow night at 6:05 CST. The Steelhounds started the weekend with a 5-4 shootout win on Thursday.

Neither team scored in the first period while Youngstown's Garrett Larson and the RiverKings' Brad Wanchulak traded goals in the second.

The Youngstown penalty kill was clutch during the contest holding the RiverKings 3rd ranked power play scoreless on nine chances. The RiverKings came out in the third period and outshot the Steelhounds 15-9, but it was the Steelhounds who found the back of the net. Goals from Stephen Margeson and Matt Hanson gave the home team a 3-1 lead. Chris Richards added an empty net goal to make the final 4-1.

Brad Roberts stopped 32 of 33 shots to get the win. Larry Sterling made 32 saves in the loss.
