LAREDO, Texas - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks announced today that they will raise Bucky and BMP Radio's own Sammy "The House" Ramirez from Hot 106.1 FM onto the LEC roof this Monday at 3 p.m. Fans and local media are invited to turnout as the pair heads to the roof to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. If the Bucks sellout the game on Friday, March 9th, against the Colorado Eagles they will donate $10,000 to JDRF. Sammy and Bucky will be helping to raise awareness for JDRF and also invite local officials and celebrities to join them on the roof. Laredo is home tonight against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in a 7:30 p.m. face off. The Bucks are offering season tickets starting at less than $79. For more info call (956)-718-BUCK (2825).
Sammy and Bucky will stay on the LEC roof 24 hours a day leading up to the Friday, March 9th, game and they won't come down until the game is sold out. The Bucks ticket office will be open 24-hours a day from March 5-9 to process ticket orders.
"I am thrilled to be going up on the roof," said Ramirez. "The cause is very dear to me because I lost my father to diabetes. I will be doing this in his honor as well as for the future of the children with diabetes. Bucky and I really need your help to get off the roof, so let's sellout the game on Friday, March 9th , and raise $10,000 for JDRF."
Bucks tickets for the Friday, March 9th, game against Colorado to benefit JDRF are also available at several remote locations including; all Laredo National Bank locations, the Laredo Children's Museum at Mall del Norte, LISD 904 Juarez Street and the local JDRF office at 7913 MacPherson, Suite 105.
2006-07 BUCKS SINGLE GAME TICKETS ON SALE
- Single game tickets for the Bucks start at $14.95. Of the 32 home games, 25 will take place on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Game times will remain the same for the 2006-07 season. Weekday games begin at 7 p.m., while Friday and Saturday night games are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday games will be at 4 p.m.
