THE MATCH UP
The RiverKings and Bucks celebrate St Patrick's Day with their third meeting of the season and their only one in Laredo. The teams split a pair of games at the DCC in November (6-2 MEM on 11/17 and 5-4 LAR on 11/18) and each have the same number of regulation losses, 15. The RiverKings last skated on Thursday, picking up a 5-3 win at Odessa. The defending President's Cup Champion Bucks recently won a franchise record 11 straight and are 12-2-0 in their last 14 contests. They have also clinched the number one seed in the Southern Conference as they will vie for their fourth straight conference championship in this year's postseason. The Bucks are coming off a dominating defeat of the Austin Ice Bats last night 4-0, outshooting the Bats 49-12. The RiverKings stand firmly in the number three spot and are looking to catch division leading Bossier-Shreveport for number two in the Northern Conference and for first in the Northeast Division. Entering tonight, the RiverKings trail the Mudbugs by four points, but also have a game in hand. In the all-time series with the Bucks, the RiverKings are 3-7-0 and are 0-4-0 at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
