CHARLESTON, SC -- The Charleston RiverDogs scored a lone run in the bottom of the fourth inning, and that was all they needed to win their fourth straight home game 1-0 against the Savannah Sand Gnats in front of 5,049 fans Friday night at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

Luis Cedeno, the newest member of the RiverDogs (11-5), held the Sand Gnats (5-10) hitless in five innings of work. Savannah only reached base three times against the righty on two walks and an error on Charleston's third baseman Allen Valerio. Cedeno was added to the RiverDogs' roster Friday from extended spring training and made his first start of the 2015 season.

Charleston scored their only run in the fourth when Dustin Fowler led the inning off with a base hit. Fowler then stole second, advanced to third base on a throwing error by the catcher Tyler Moore, and scored when Connor Spencer hit a sacrifice fly to deep center field.

Savannah threatened in the top of the eighth inning, putting runners on first and second base with one out against relief pitcher Dillon McNamara. McNamara got Jonathan Johnson to fly out and John Mora to ground out to end the threat.

Sand Gnats pitcher David Roseboom struck out five batters in two scoreless innings of relief. Roseboom attended the University of South Carolina-Upstate in Spartanburg and played four years of baseball for the Spartans.

Joe Harvey entered the game in the ninth inning and got out of a two-on, one-out jam as well. He struck out Jean Rodriguez and Tomas Nido flew out to end the game. Harvey earned his third save of the season.
