GREENVILLE, SC-- Friday night's double-header between the Asheville Tourists and the Greenville Drive ended with each team leaving Fluor Field somewhat fulfilled. Greenville won the first leg 5-2 which ran their winning streak to six and extended Asheville's losing streak to seven. The Tourists countered with a 3-0 shutout victory in the second leg; snapping both streaks.

Wes Rogers had a pair of doubles in game one and Randy Reyes reached base twice. The Tourists fell behind 3-0 but rallied for two runs in the top of the sixth. The Drive countered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning making Asheville's deficit three heading into their final turn at bat. Sean Dwyer came up representing the tying run, but grounded into a game ending double-play.

Dwyer responded early in game two. Asheville's first baseman connected with an RBI single to right in his first trip to the plate to give the Tourists a 1-0 lead. Reyes hit a sacrifice fly in the third and Kevin Padlo completed the scoring output with a solo Home Run in the sixth.

Logan Sawyer was brilliant for the Tourists in game two. The right-hander tossed six innings, allowed just two hits, and struck out four en route to his second victory of the season. Jerad McCrummen worked the bottom of the seventh and recorded his second save in as many chances.

Drew Weeks had a pair of hits and a pair of stolen bases in the second game. Asheville swiped six bags on the day; all in game two. Reed Reilly earned the win for the Drive in game one by tossing 5.2 innings and allowing just two runs.

The series continues Saturday night in Greenville with the first pitch set for 7:05pm.
