
RiverDogs, Force Protection, Team Up to Salute Military

CHARLESTON- The Charleston RiverDogs and Force Protection Industries, Inc. teamed up Wednesday evening for the RiverDogs second Military Appreciation Night of the 2009 season.
As part of the evening's festivities, Force Protection presented two checks. The first, for $25,000, was awarded to the Medal of Honor 2010 Convention, which will be held in Charleston from Sept. 29-Oct. 3, next fall, to honor the society of Medal of Honor recipients. Force Protection CEO Michael Moody offered the check to Medal of Honor recipient Maj. Gen. James Livingston and 2010 Convention chairman Myron Harrington.
Force Protection was also recognized via special plaque from the Medal of Honor Convention thanking Force Protection for their perpetual support of the convention and for bringing our men and women home safely from Iraq and Afghanistan.
The second check presentation featured a $10,000 donation to Honor Flight Lowcountry, a non-profit effort to assist World War II veterans in visiting the World War II Memorial stationed in Washington, D.C. Force Protection CEO Michael Moody bestowed this endowment to Honor Flight Lowcountry president Bubba Kennedy.
