Mike D'Alessandro made 37 saves as the Richmond Riverdogs blanked the Missouri River Otters 5-0 Wednesday night at the Richmond Coliseum.
Richmond took a 2-0 first period lead on goals from Todd Grant and Mike Oliveira. The Riverdogs extended their lead to 4-0 in the second period, getting goals from Bobby Kukulka and John DiPace. Oliveira added a third-period empty-netter to seal the victory.
The River Otters take on the Roanoke Valley Vipers Friday night at the Roanoke Civic Center. The puck drops at 6:30 CST, and all the action can be heard on KSLQ 104.5 FM and the B2 Networks, located at www.riverotters.com.
