WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. â The Sacramento River Cats (42-25) beat the Fresno Grizzlies (30-37) by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday at Raley Field. The win marked Sacramento's sixth in six games and improved the club's record to 17 games above .500.
RHP Mike Wood earned his league-leading 10th win, allowing just 2 ER on 4 H in 7.0 IP. RHP Eric Cammack picked up his first save. RHP Leo Estrella took the loss for Fresno. RF Matt Watson and CF Nick Swisher hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning, as Sacramento out-hit Fresno 12-7.
The River Cats and Grizzlies will play the final game of their four-game series on Thursday (7:05 pm) at Raley Field.
