West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats soared past the Memphis Redbirds, 15-1, on Thursday night at Raley Field for the second straight day. The win marks the River Cats 6th in their last 7 games and their 9th over the last 11. Five Cats batters combined to blast 6 home runs throughout the game (Hiram Bocachica, Keith Ginter, Jeremy Brown, Scott McClain and Doug Clark 2), setting a club record for home runs in a single game. Ginter and Brown's came as back-to-back shots, both to left field, in the bottom of the third inning. Eight of the nine Sacramento starting position players had at least one hit and at least one RBI. Cats starter Jason Windsor earned his 10 th win in as many decisions, allowing just 4 hits and one earned run in 7 innings of work. Mark Watson and Matt Roney combined to throw 2 scoreless innings of relief. With the victory, Sacramento moves to 61-52 and 11 games behind PCL Pacific South leader Tucson.
