DAVENPORT, Iowa (JUNE 12, 2012) - Quad Cities River Bandits catcher Juan Castillo will join teammate Colin Walsh in the starting lineup for the Western Division All-Star team at the 2012 Midwest League All-Star Game hosted by the Kane County Cougars June 19 in Geneva, Ill., the Midwest League announced on Tuesday.
Castillo, 22, had been named a reserve for the Western Division squad along with River Bandits infielder Luis Mateo and right-handed reliever Heath Wyatt when the initial rosters were announced on June 4. Castillo will start in place of Peoria catcher Rafael Lopez, who has been placed on the disabled list. Walsh was named the starting designated hitter for the Western Division on the initial roster.
