
Riders Sign Four Draft Picks and Add Canadian Talent

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced they have signed a group of non-import players to the roster including 2011 CFL Canadian Draft picks Craig Butler, Alexander Krausnick-Groh, Christopher Milo and Kyle Exume. In addition the team has added Canadian defensive lineman Mathieu Boulay and Canadian defensive back Daryl Townsend. The financial details of the signings were not released.
Selected in the second round (12th overall) defensive back Craig Butler played the last four seasons at Western Ontario and was named an All-Canadian in his senior year.
Krausnick-Groh, an offensive lineman from the University of Calgary was selected in the fourth round (27th overall).
Kicker Christopher Milo has spent the last four seasons with Laval and holds the provincial record for the most career points with 385. He was chosen in the fourth round (30th overall).
Selected by the Riders in the sixth round (40th overall) running back Kyle Exume comes to camp after spending the last four seasons at Bishop's.
Boulay (6'1 - 250 lbs) has spent the past four seasons at Bishops where he dressed in every game in 2010 and had 45 tackles and eight quarterback sacks. Boulay was the defensive MVP and the Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman in the East-West Shrine Game in 2010.
Townsend (6'1 - 198 lbs) played three seasons at Windsor after converting to defensive back from running back and was named an OUA 2nd Team All-Star in 2010 when he started 24 games for the Lancers.
The Riders also announced that Regina Thunder defensive lineman Zack Evans (6'4 - 275 lbs) has been invited to take part in this year's Rider Training Camp.
