Blue Bombers Add Two More Defensive Backs to Roster

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import defensive backs C.J. James and Leslie Majors to contracts today. Both players will be present when rookie camp begins this afternoon.

James (5-8, 185, Eastern Illinois, DOB: December 18, 1988 in For Lauderdale, Florida) played four seasons with the Panthers appearing as a reserve defensive back as a freshman before earning the starting cornerback job for his final three years. He was a first team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection as a junior, leading the team with five interceptions including two that he returned for touchdowns. As a senior, he was a second team All-OVC selection after ranking fifth on the team with 56 tackles.

Majors (5-10, 180, Indiana, DOB: February 18, 1986 in South Holland, Illinois) attended training camp with the Chicago Bears in 2008 and spent the entire preseason on the active roster before being among the team's final cuts. He attended a minicamp with the Detroit Lions in 2009 before signing with the Orlando Predators of the AFL earlier this year where he registered three tackles this season. In college, Majors started four seasons at cornerback and closed out his career with four interceptions in 41 games played. He enjoyed his best season during his senior year when he racked up 62 tackles, two interceptions and six pass knockdowns.
