WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have agreed to terms with their fourth overall selection in the 2011 CFL Draft, University of Saskatchewan receiver Jade Etienne, today.

"I'm very excited to sign a contract with the Blue Bombers and begin rookie camp on the same day," said Etienne. "It is a dream come true to play professional football and I am thrilled to have an opportunity to help this team win a championship."

Etienne (6-3, 184, Saskatchewan, DOB: October 11, 1989 in Regina, Saskatchewan) enjoyed a breakout season in 2010 that saw him finish third in the CIS with 721 receiving yards on 28 receptions in just seven games - an average of 103 yards per contest - while adding six touchdowns. He was named a first team All-Canadian for his efforts.

"Jade is a young receiver with plenty of upside," said Vice-President and General Manager, Joe Mack. "He is a big target with tremendous athletic ability, and he can make the tough catches. We are pleased to add him to our roster and watch him develop into the player we anticipate."
