LAST GAME: Frisco was blanked, 2-0, by the Midland RockHounds last night at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Clayton Hamilton suffered his first loss for Frisco, allowing two runs on four hits over six innings. Right fielder Joey Butler saw his 16-game hitting streak come to an end as he finished 0-4 with two strikeouts. Frisco only managed four hits as a team.

FINAL COUNTDOWN: Frisco has just 9 games remaining in the regular season, with five of the final nine coming against second half leader, Midland. Frisco hadn't won three straight since July 3-4 (doubleheader) and trails Midland by one game in the second half standings. Frisco began its final regular season homestand on Tuesday night with a win over the Missions and only has three series left until the postseason begins.

RETURN OF THE LONGBALL: The 'Riders have homered in seven of the last 11 games. Last Thursday in Springdale, AR, Joey Butler grazed the foul pole in right field for his team leading 9th home run of the season in a 5-4 victory over the Naturals. Last Saturday, the
