St. John's IceCaps News Release

TRADING POST: The Montreal Canadiens acquired left-winger Lucas Lessio from the Arizona Coyotes in a trade for Christian Thomas last week. Lessio joined the IceCaps for their Wednesday night game versus the Devils, picking up a point on his first shift.

BIG MAC ATTACK: Rookie forward Michael McCarron got the call up to the Canadiens on Friday. McCarron picked up his second hat trick at Mile One Centre this season on Wednesday evening and ranks fourth in AHL rookie scoring (13G, 11A, 24P).

CHRISTMAS BREAK: The IceCaps have a ten-day break before hitting the ice on Boxing Day to face the Toronto Marlies at the Air Canada Centre. The Dec. 26th game marks the first of a five-game road trip, and the IceCaps will return to Mile One in January.

Zach Fucale's 44-save effort helped lift the St. John's IceCaps to a win over the Albany Devils at Mile One Centre. Michael McCarron's second period deflection goal stood as the game-winner, while Mark MacMillan and Mark Barberio also scored for the home side. Josiah Didier picked up two helpers in a second star performance.

Michael McCarron had a hat trick and Eddie Pasquale turned aside 45 shots as the St. John's IceCaps crushed the Albany Devils at Mile One Centre. Morgan Ellis had a pair of helpers while Lucas Lessio, making his IceCaps debut, notched an assist on the game's opening goal.
