TODAY: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Akron Aeros will meet in game three of a four-game series...Nick Noonan drove in all three runs for the Flying Squirrels including a RBI double in the top of the 10th inning to help lift Richmond to a 3-2 win over the Aeros on Saturday night in front of 3,628 fans at Canal Park.

#WINNING': The Flying Squirrels will attempt to climb back over the .500 mark in today's contest at Akron for the first time since 4/15 when they were 5-4...Richmond has previously been at .500 three times since 4/15 and the team has been unable to get a win on any of those occasions...The club is 2-7 in day games after night games and 4-7 overall during the day.

EXTRA SPECIAL: The Flying Squirrels played their Eastern League-leading ninth extra-inning game last night, defeating Akron 3-2 in 10 innings... At two hours and 53 minutes, it was the second-shortest extra-inning game of the season for Richmond...The club played an 11-inning, two hour and 45 minute game against Altoona 4/23...The club has amassed 33 innings worth of extra frames thus far on the season and the pitching staff is averaging 9.32 innings of work per game (447 2/3 innings/48games)...With the win, the Flying Squirrels improved to 5-4 in extra innings on the season...Thirty-two of the club's first 48 games have been decided by three runs or less (14-18) and the club improved to 6-9 in one-run games.

NOOOONAN: Shortstop Nick Noonan drove in all three runs for the Flying Squirrels, matching a season-high...The 22-year-old also drove in three runs 5/5 in Game 2 of a doubleheader at New Britain...He is 8-for-19 (.421) with runners in scoring position and two outs including last night's two-out, RBI double in the top of the 10th inning...Noonan is second on the club in RBIs (20) and has four multi-RBI games in 35 contests with the Flying Squirrels...He had just two multi-RBI games and drove in 26 runs in 101 contests with Richmond in 2010.

MAY IS FOR MATOS: Right-hander Osiris Matos allowed one hit over three scoreless innings Saturday night...In nine appearances this month, the 26-year-old has tossed 18 scoreless innings, limiting opponents to a .133 (8-for-60) batting average against...It is the longest scoreless innings streak by a Richmond pitcher this season...He has struck out 11 batters while walking two over that span and has lowered his ERA from 5.02 to 2.23.

PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 2.85 ERA through 48 games, the only staff with a sub-three ERA...The club ranks second in the league with 395 strikeouts, and the pitching staff has logged a league-high 447 2/3 innings of work.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN: The Flying Squirrels are in a stretch where they will play 13 of 16 games on the road...The club is 7-14 on the road, and it is batting .198 (140-for-708) and averaging 3.00 runs per game (63R/21G) in 21 road contests...Richmond just completed a stretch of playing 10 out of 13 games at home...The Flying Squirrels are 17-10 at home and are batting .253 (237-for-938) in 27 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.30 runs per game at home (116R/27G).
