
Largest Sunday Crowd in Fisher Cats History Witnesses Walk-Off Win

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
(Manchester, NH)-The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, drew 8,107 on a beautiful afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, the largest Sunday crowd in franchise history and the seventh largest all-time. And they were treated to the sixth walk-off win of the season, an exciting 2-1 victory over New Britain.
Ricardo Nanita singled home Moises Sierra with the winning run. Sierra had doubled to start the bottom of the ninth inning off Rock Cats reliever Tony Davis (0-1).
The win was the sixth straight for the Fisher Cats (33-16). New Hampshire took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Darin Mastroianni ripped a two-out single and scored from first on a single by Adeiny Hechavarria.
New Britain (27-20) failed to score against Fisher Cats starter Zach Stewart. Stewart worked the first eight innings, allowing three hits. He walked one and struck out six.
Facing reliever Bobby Korecky in the top of the ninth inning, Steve Singleton reached on a single, moved to second on a groundout by Chris Herrmann and scored on a double by Joe Benson to tie the game at 1-1.
New Britain starter Liam Hendricks worked seven innings, allowing five hits and one run. He walked two and struck out six.
