Today, the SeaWolves look to rebound from a tough one-run loss on Saturday night as they take on the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies) in the third game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves held a one-run lead until the top of the eighth inning when the Phillies plated a pair of runs off of the Erie bullpen and the 'Wolves could not respond as they fell to the R-Phils 2-1. The loss drops the SeaWolves back to four games under .500 in a fifth place tie with Akron, 4.5 games out of first. The 4.5 games out of first place is the furthest Erie has been out of first this season...The Phillies are three games over .500 and come into the game today with the league's second-best team batting average at .271. Reading and Erie are the top two scoring teams in the league...Righy Jacob Turner takes the mound for the 'Wolves making his ninth start and third against the Phillies. Turner took a no-decision in his last start against at Bowie on May 21. In the game, he allowed two runs on five hits with a walk and eight strikeouts in a season-high eight innings of work. The SeaWolves won the game 3-2 in 12 innings. In four May starts, Turner 1-0 with a 2.36 ERA. His lone loss of the season came against Reading on April 28...RHP Austin Hyatt takes the mound for the Phillies making his 10th start and third against the SeaWolves. Has has lost his last two starts. In Hyatt's last start against Trenton he allowed three runs on three hits with four walks and eight strikeouts in five innings of work.
