RHP Alex White Placed on Inactive List

The Akron Aeros made a few roster moves today as RHP Alex White was placed on the inactive list, and IF Ron Rivas and RHP Brian Grening were received from Class A Kinston.

Rivas played in 82 games for the K-Tribe this season and held a batting average of .243 with 63 hits, 13 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 30 runs scored, and 28 RBI. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native was obtained as a non-drafted free agent on October 6, 2005.

Grening returns to the Aeros after playing with Kinston since May 9. In 27 appearances with Kinston, Grening had a 4-3 (3.38 ERA) and allowed 20 runs (18 earned) on 33 hits with 62 strikeouts against 25 walks in 48 innings pitched. He has appeared in 14 games with the Aeros this season from April 9 to May 7. During that time, Grening had an ERA of 4.91 and allowed eight runs on 13 hits with 15 strikeouts and 11 walks in 14.2 innings. The San Luis Obispo, Calif. native was obtained as the No. 38 selection in the June 2008 Draft.
