
Rhinos Kickoff 2016 Season Saturday in Pittsburgh

Rochester, NY - The Rochester Rhinos kickoff the 2016 season against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday, April 2nd in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the first match of the season for both clubs. The match will be broadcast live from Highmark Stadium on the USL Match Center at 7:00pm. This is the first match the Rhinos have played since winning the 2015 USL Championship at Sahlen's Stadium.
Rochester and Pittsburgh played three times in 2015 with the Rhinos winning the season series 2-0-1. The Rhinos won the first two match-ups defeating the Riverhounds 2-1 at Highmark Stadium on April 4th & 1-0 at Sahlen's Stadium on June 25th. The final match-up was a 1-1 draw at Highmark Stadium on September 16th with Christian Volesky netting the equalizing goal in the 83' to gain a draw for the Rhinos.
Rochester faces Pittsburgh two additional times this season both at Rhinos Stadium on Saturday, June 25th & Saturday, August 20th at 6:05pm.
The Rochester Rhinos open their 21st season at Rhinos Stadium on Saturday, April 23rd against FC Montreal at 5:05pm. 2016 season tickets, flex packs and group tickets are available by calling (585) 454-KICK (5425), by visiting the Rhinos Stadium box office or online at rhinossoccer.com.
