Orange County SC News Release
IRVINE, Calif. After last Saturday's game vs Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 the Orange County Blues FC will be looking to get back on track and record their first win of the season as they take on Saint Louis FC in their first ever match up this Saturday, April 2, at UCI's Anteater Stadium, 7 p.m. PT.
The 2015 Western Conference Regular Season winners, had eight players making their club debut in their match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. In those 90 minutes, the Blues were able to create many chances and accumulate 10 shots, five of which were on target. Despite the hard fought match, the Blues weren't able to find the back of the net and suffered a narrow defeat after the Whitecaps were able to capitalize on a set piece in the 58th minute.
As for their opponents in the upcoming match, Saint Louis FC are still looking to make an impact after being moved to the Western Conference in their second season of the USL. They are coming off their second defeat in concession after falling 3-0 to LA Galaxy II this past Wednesday. The match up against Orange County Blues FC will conclude a tough opening run of fixtures on the road.
This will be the first-ever meeting between these two clubs and is bound to be a game to watch as both teams look to rack in their first win of the 2016 season. Orange County Blues FC had a strong home record last season with nine wins and will be looking to continue this record to kick start their 2016 campaign.
Following Saturday's match against Saint Louis FC, OC Blues will travel over to the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium in Carson, CA to take on LA Galaxy II on Friday, April 8, at 7 p.m. PT.
