(York, Pa.): The York Revolution is living in the past - and so are our prices!

On Wednesday, September 14 against the Bridgeport Bluefish the Revs will look back to 1925 and pay homage to the New York-Penn League Champs from that year with a "1925 prices night." All individual field box tickets will be just $0.25, and can be purchased online at www.yorkrevolution.com, by phone at 717-801-HITS (4487) or in-person at the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office. The game is scheduled for 6:30, and the gates at Sovereign Bank Stadium will open at 5:30.

In addition, the Revs will offer $0.25 specials on a number of food items including $0.25 peanuts, popcorn, cotton candy, animal crackers, chips, candy and 4 oz. Pepsi product drinks.

The then York White Roses won the New York-Penn league title on September 25, 1925, beating Williamsport in 11 innings in the fourth and decisive game of a best-of-five series after a 77-55 regular season. York first baseman Del Bissonette homered in the bottom of the 11th to clinch the title. The manager of that York team was Rube Dessau, who pitched in the Major Leagues for the Boston Doves and the Brooklyn Superbas between 1907 and 1910.

York fans would have to wait until 1969 to celebrate another minor league title, then 41 years after that for York's third - this time in the form of the Revolution's 2010 Atlantic League Championship.
