(York, Pa.) - Some young York Revolution fans had a pretty good reason for missing the start of the team's season late last month. They were just being born in WellSpan Health hospitals. But like the bases on the field at PeoplesBank Park, the Revolution had those little Revs covered.

The Revolution partnered with WellSpan Health, the official healthcare and sports medicine provider for the York Revolution, for a special Opening Weekend promotion for all newborn babies born between April 28 and May 1 at WellSpan York Hospital and WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital.

Every bouncing baby boy or girl born that weekend received a special "onesie" proclaiming the newborn as a "Special Delivery" and a "REVS FAN FOR LIFE!" (See below for images.) By the end, 23 new fans had been born and presented their first piece of official Revolution gear.

Not to be forgotten for their role in boosting the ranks of Revs fans, the parents of babies born that weekend received two tickets to the game of their choice this season. Admission is free for infants, and wearing the onesie to PeoplesBank Park is encouraged.

"A baby starting life as we start our 10th anniversary season is simply a sign," said Revolution Team President Eric Menzer. "He or she is destined to cheer for the Revs, so we are incredibly thankful to Wellspan Health for facilitating this match made in heaven."

"The caring, dedicated clinicians and staff of WellSpan York Hospital and WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital help deliver, on average, about 3,500 babies every year," said Keith Noll, senior vice president, WellSpan Health, and president, WellSpan York Hospital. "Each of those births is a special moment, both for the families and for us. We're proud to add to that moment with a bit of family fun with the York Revolution."
