TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The third of nine meetings and the second of four here. Clubs have split the first two with each club winning at home. The ‘Gades win over the Checkers here came in overtime. Lars Pettersen has three points vs. Charlotte. Four Checkers have three points vs. Richmond. The ‘Gades are second in the Northeast Division with 26 points. Richmond is one point behind Atlantic City and one point up on third place Reading. Charlotte is seventh in the Northeast with 15 points, seven behind sixth place Trenton.

LAST ACTION: The ‘Gades lost last night 3-0 at Greenville. The ‘Gades outshot the Grrrowl 34-29 but were blanked for the second time this season. Charlotte dropped a 3-2 decision at Trenton. The Titans scored the game-winner with under four minutes to play.

‘GADES NOTES: The Renegades have won seven of their last eight games at home. Richmond has scored five or more goals in five of their 10 home games. The ‘Gades have held five straight opponents to under 30 shots. Richmond was 3-3 on the penalty kill last night, snapping a streak of five straight games in which opponents had a power play goal. The ‘Gades have allowed shorthanded goals in their last two games. Jayme Filipowicz is on an AHL call-up with the St. John Flames. He has played in three games with the Flames (no points, no PIM, +1). Nick Lent was called up to Portland of the AHL following Wednesday's game. Lent could make his Pirates debut tonight. Lars Pettersen's club season high nine game scoring streak ended last night. Brad Church's six game scoring streak ended last night. David Brosseau's three game scoring streak also ended last night. The ‘Gades have at least one power play goal in each of their last eight wins. They have been held without a power play goal in their last three losses. The ‘Gades have been assigned LW Justin Plamondon by Binghamton of the AHL. He played in seven games with the Senators this season (see player bios for more information). Marc Magliarditi now has 119 career wins and is sixth in ECHL history. The ‘Gades are in a stretch of 10 of 12 games at home. The ‘Gades play four games in five nights this week and seven games in 12 days staring Wednesday. The ‘Gades play three games in three nights for the fourth time this season this weekend. Richmond has nine three-in-threes on the schedule for the season. The ‘Gades are third in the ECHL in fewest shots allowed per game. They are eighth in goals per game

CHECKERS NOTES: The Checkers have lost three straight. The Checkers play game three of a four game road trip tonight. The Checkers have played the fewest games in the Northeast Division. The Checkers are sixth in power play and eighth in shots per game but are 25th in goals against average.
