BOISE, Idaho – Joe Rybar scored two power play goals and Jason Cugnet recorded his first professional shutout as Idaho completed a three-game sweep of Anchorage with a 4-0 victory Saturday night before a crowd of 4,881 at the Bank of America Centre.

After dominating the first period but failing to solve Aces' netminder Christian Soucy, who finished with 36 saves, Idaho finally broke through at 2:57 of the middle frame on Rybar's first of the night. Rookie Michal Pinc blasted home a slapper from the high slot through a screened Soucy three minutes later, and Cory Morgan pushed the margin to 3-0 with another power play goal at 15:52. Rybar's second of the night six minutes into the third period, coming on yet another power play, capped the scoring and gave Idaho its eighth straight win over Anchorage this season. The Steelheads, now unbeaten in eight games and 15-4-2 overall, outshot the Aces 40-21.

Anchorage (4-14-1) returns to Sullivan Arena for a five-game homestand beginning Tuesday and Wednesday night against Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. AST. The Aces and Ice Dogs (7-7 going into Saturday's game at Bakersfield) split a series in Anchorage two weeks ago. The Condors roll into the Last Frontier for Friday and Saturday night contests at 7:00 p.m. along with a Sunday matinee scheduled for 5:00 p.m. that will include a postgame skate with the Aces' players.

All games are broadcast live on KFQD 750 AM and at www.anchorageaces.com or www.kfqd.com with Jack Michaels calling the play-by-play. Coverage begins 20 minutes prior to the opening face-off, presented by GCI.
