Ontario Reign News Release
The Week That Was...
The Ontario Reign battled the San Antonio Rampage, San Diego Gulls and San Jose Barracuda last week for a week record of 2-0-1-0 to extend their unbeaten streak to six games (5-0-1-0) and improve their Pacific Division-leading record to 35-14-4-1.
On Wednesday, the Reign closed a five-game road trip with their second consecutive tilt against the Rampage. After squandering a two-goal lead, the Reign found themselves down 4-2 with less than three minutes to play in the third period. Forward Jonny Brodzinski started the comeback and defenseman Kevin Gravel and forward Nic Dowd completed the turn-around as Ontario prevailed 5-4 in regulation time.

On Saturday, the Reign briefly returned home to Citizens Business Bank Arena to host the Gulls. Forward Adrian Kempe snapped a 17-game goalless skid with a third period tally, but the Gulls prevailed 2-1 in overtime.
Carrying their late-game momentum into Sunday's affair against San Jose at SAP Center in downtown San Jose, forward Brett Sutter scored his first goal with the Reign and forwards Michael Mersch, Dowd and Sean Backman would each grab two-point games in a 4-1 victory.
