Heat Announce Roster Move

March 15, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Stockton Heat News Release

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, announce that defenseman Mike Vernace has been released from his professional tryout with the club.

The 29-year-old defenseman skated 5 games with the Stockton Heat. He returns to the Brampton Beast of the ECHL where he's skated a total of 43 games during the 2015-16 season.

Stockton completes their four-game homestand this Friday against the Iowa Wild for Aaron Johnson bobblehead night. The first 500 kids, 12-years-old and younger will receive a commemorative bobblehead featuring the Heat's first team captain in the team's alternate jersey.
