Reign Trade Kraemer to Eagles for Beatty and Hood

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced a trade with the Colorado Eagles. The Reign have traded forward Kyle Kraemer for defenseman Jason Beatty and forward Dylan Hood.
Beatty, 30, spent seven seasons with the Eagles recording a total of 72 points (19g, 53a), a +53, and 611 penalty minutes. He wore the alternate captain "A" during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 season with Colorado. He went to the CHL Finals three times with the Eagles.
Prior to joining the Eagles organization, Beatty played three seasons with the Lubbock Cotton Kings of the Central Hockey League during which time he saw a six-game call-up to the American hockey League with San Antonio Rampage.
Hood, 23, is a second-year pro with 81 games with Colorado under his belt. In that time the center has recorded 38 points (16g, 22a) and 57 penalty minutes. After a five-year WHL junior career, Hood attended the University of Calgary where he spent one season with their hockey program earning 16 points (6g, 10a) in just 27 games.
Kraemer, 28, leaves the Reign with a career 188 ECHL points (83g, 105a) in 209 Reign games. He had a brief, two-game sting with the Kalamazoo Wings in his professional debut after graduating from Northeastern University. Before joining the Reign this season, Kraemer played with the CHL's St. Charles Chill for nine games where he earned seven points (4g, 3a).
