WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced Sunday that they have traded defenseman Jason Beatty and forward Dylan Hood to the Ontario Reign in exchange for forward Kyle Kraemer.

Kraemer has racked up 188 points in 211 ECHL games, posting 83 goals and 105 assists during that span. The St. Louis, Missouri native has already notched 12 goals and 23 points in his first 26 games with the Reign this season. During the 2012-13 campaign with Ontario, the 5'10, 198-pound forward scored 30 goals and posted 71 points in 71 games, finishing the year at a plus-27. He would go on to add another 8 points in 10 post-season contests. Those numbers would help him to be named to the ECHL's All-Star 2nd Team in 2013.

Already this season, the 28 year-old has garnered ECHL Player of the Week honors during the final week of November. Kraemer was also named the ECHL Plus Performer of the Month in November of 2012. "Kyle has the ability to take over a hockey game and is a proven scorer at this level," said Eagles head coach and general manager Chris Stewart. "I feel that this is one of the pieces that we needed to put in place in order to help us achieve our ultimate goal of winning the Kelly Cup this season."

Beatty spent seven seasons with Colorado, generating 611 penalty minutes and 71 points, while Hood appeared in 81 games for the Eagles, posting 38 total points over two seasons.

"Dylan is a young man who has a very bright future ahead of him and we wish him the absolute best as he pursues his dream to play at the next level," said Stewart. "With regard to Jason, he is one of those players who has always been an integral part of the community and the Eagles organization. I will always consider him more than just a player, as the relationship that we have enjoyed over the past seven years is truly special and will always hold an important place for myself and this team. However, we felt that at this time, this was a move that can immediately improve our hockey club as we try to pursue a championship and was made with the best interests of the organization in mind," added Stewart.
