ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, have signed rookie defenseman and 2012-13 WCHA Champion Ryan Little.

Little, 25, will join former University of Wisconsin teammate Eric Springer in the Reign lineup in his professional debut.

Last year Little completed his fourth season with the Badgers and his second season as the team's Alternate Captain and won the WCHA Playoff Championship; this was the team's first since 1998. From 2008-13 the Fond du Lac, WI native recorded 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points in 132 contests. Some of Little's collegiate honors include being named to the WCHA All-Academic team and Academic All-Big Ten team in 2011-12 and 2010-11. He was also the winner of Wisconsin's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in 2010-11. Little was redshirted in 2009-10 but was named a WCHA Scholar-Athlete and WCHA All-Academic.

Prior to playing with Wisconsin, Little played with the USHL's Green Bay Gamblers for three seasons; one season he played with Reign skater Cameron Burt. In 155 games, Little recorded 30 points (7g, 23a) and 240 penalty minutes.
