Ontario Reign News Release

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced the return of defenseman Cody Sol to the Reign from the team's AHL affiliate, the St. John's IceCaps.

Sol, 22, appeared in one game with the IceCaps, in which they had a 4-1 victory over the Reign's other AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs on Jan. 17.

The 6-foot-5 defenseman has played 35 games with the Reign so far this season earning seven points (4g, 3a) and 66 penalty minutes.

Sol split his 2012-13 season between the ECHL's Colorado Eagles and St. John's for 25 and 26 games, respectively.

The Reign will play Sol's former ECHL club on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and the blue liner is expected to dress for that game.
