Florida Everblades News Release
Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades announced Tuesday that they will host "Paint the Ice Night" on February 7 when the team takes on the Gwinnett Gladiators at Germain Arena.
Kids- and kids at heart- are invited to stick around after the game and head down to ice level, where they will be able to paint their own designs onto the ice, resulting in a special canvas that will set a colorful scene as the Everblades take on the Gladiators the following night.
It is the first time fans will be able to personally design a portion of the playing surface for a game at Germain Arena.
Also during the weekend the Everblades will be wearing special Olympic-themed jerseys to celebrate the opening of the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. The uniforms were designed by kids at the Golisano Children's Hospital; they will be auctioned live after Saturday's game with the proceeds going to the Lee Memorial Health System Foundation.
The weekend will also mark Family Fun Weekend and Carnival to benefit The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, which will run 4:00pm-7:00pm each night, featuring: bounce houses; face painting; carnival games; and live music. There will also be a European Car Show, brought to you by Euro Tripper, Saturday from 11:00am-7:00pm. Carnival and hockey game combo tickets available for $20.00 per person, per day.
Tickets for Paint the Ice Night and Family Fun Weekend are on sale now at the Capital Bank Box Office, open 10:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
