Reign FC Midfielder Jess Fishlock Called up for World Cup Qualifier

SEATTLE (August 11, 2014) - Seattle Reign FC midfielder Jess Fishlock has been named to the Wales Women's National Team roster that will face England on Thursday, August 21 at Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

With a win against England, Fishlock - who captains the Welsh National Team - and the rest of the squad would be one step closer to qualifying for the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada. Wales has never played in a Women's World Cup.

Fishlock will miss Seattle's final match of the regular season this Sunday, August 17 against Portland Thorns FC. The midfielder is expected to be back with Reign FC in time for the club's Sunday, August 24 semifinal match at the Moda Pitch at Memorial Stadium.
