Winnipeg Ice News Release
The Winnipeg ICE built up a 3-0 lead on second period goals by Easton Armstrong, Matthew Savoie and Carson Lambos only to see the Regina Pats score five unanswered for a 5-3 victory.
Connor Bedard scored four goals for the Pats while also assisting on one by Tanner Howe.
The ICE outshot Regina 34-28. Lambos, Zack Ostapchuk and Savoie led Winnipeg with five shots each. Bedard had a game high 10.
Drew Sim made 31 saves earning the Pats their first win of the season against the ICE in the final game of their six game regular season series. Daniel Hauser stopped 23 in the loss.
Both teams went 0/2 on the power play.
The ICE conclude their 10 game road trip with another edition of the Battle of Manitoba presented by Taylor McCaffery Lawyers tomorrow night in Brandon (6:30 on CFRW 1290 AM / 7:00 on WHL Live via CHL TV).
