San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (January 21, 2010) - The Anaheim Ducks today announced that the National Hockey League Club has reassigned defenseman Eric Regan to the Bakersfield Condors (ECHL) from the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Regan, 21, registered a plus-1 rating and six penalty minutes in five games with the Rampage this season.
Prior to his recall on Dec. 31, 2009, Regan appeared in 30 games with Bakersfield, recording nine goals and 10 assists, including five power-play goals and four game-winning goals. He was named to the National Conference team for the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game held Wednesday evening at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. The first-time All-Star participated in the Reebok Fastest Skater competition on Tuesday, placing fourth and helping the National Conference to a point.
During the 2008-09 season, the blueliner posted one goal and seven assists in 59 games with the Iowa Chops (AHL).
Prior to signing a three-year entry-level contract with Anaheim on Sept. 23, 2008, the Whitby, Ontario native played in 252 career Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games, tallying 16 goals, 97 assists and 156 penalty minutes with Erie (2004-06) and Oshawa (2006-08).
San Antonio will take to the ice this Saturday and Sunday when they host the Milwaukee Admirals at 7 p.m. (CDT) and 3 p.m. (CDT), respectively, at the AT&T Center.
