
Take Home A Bear From An Amerks All-Star

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans fans will have an opportunity to take home a special keepsake from Rochester Americans goalie and recent American Hockey League All-Star Alexander Salak on Friday, January 22nd.
In an effort to kickoff the 20th season of the Amerks and Knighthawks Celebrity Waiter Dinner, the Amerks and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Rochester will raffle off a bear made by an Amerks player to one lucky fan at all Friday night home game until Friday, February 26th. To purchase tickets to the Amerks game this Friday night, call (585) 454-5335 or go online to amerks.com.
All proceeds raised will directly benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Rochester. The second bear to be raffled off will is "Michelle," created by Salak. The white female bear comes outfitted in a pink and black patterned flower dress with the bear heels to match her black purse, blue eyes and blue-faded fur.
Fans can take home Michelle with a purchase of a $5 raffle ticket or in groups of three for $10. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase when gates open until midway through the second period. Tickets will be sold at the CF table in the upper atrium of the arena where Michelle will also be on display for fans to view. The winner and new owner of Michelle will be announced at the start of the third period.
The bears were built by the players at the Build-A-Bear Workshop © store location at 443 Eastview Mall sponsored by J. T. Genier Security Services. The remaining 20 bears will be available the night of the dinner.
The Amerks and Knighthawks will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the team's Annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner & Auction on Tuesday, March 9th at 6:00 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. The event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Rochester and the Knighthawks/Amerks Charitable Foundation, Inc. Fans can purchase tickets for the event at the Cystic Fibrosis table in the upper atrium lobby. General admission tickets are just $65.
