Oklahoma City Comets News Release
In a game that lasted 4 hours and 10 minutes, Oklahoma outlasted Colorado Springs with a 5-4 win Monday at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The RedHawks won the game on Desi Relaford's RBI double in 11th inning.
Each team used four pitchers. Randy Williams (1-0) pitched the final 2.1 innings for the RedHawks to earn the win. Josh Newman (2-1) gave up Relaford's game-winner.
The game had four lead changes and a tie. The RedHawks scored two runs in the ninth to force extra innings.
Nate Gold led the way for the RedHawks at the plate, going 3-for-6 with a double and two RBIs. Four Sky Sox each had two hits.
Oklahoma (26-31) and Colorado Springs (27-28) finish their four-game series Tuesday at 7:05 pm CDT at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.
