
RedHawks Walk Over Isotopes in 6-2 Win

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City RedHawks took advantage of five walks in the first inning to build an early lead in a 6-2 win against the Albuquerque Isotopes Monday in front of a crowd of 3,553 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
The win extended the RedHawks' club record winning streak at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark to 16 games and dropped Albuquerque (67-63) to third place in the Pacific Coast League American Southern Division standings. Round Rock moved into second place in the division behind first-place Oklahoma City (74-56), which owns the best home record in the league at 42-22.
The RedHawks took a 6-0 lead in the first inning.
Outfielder Trevor Crowe walked to lead off for Oklahoma City. Jon Singleton, Jimmy Paredes, Che-Hsuan Lin and Rene Garcia later drew four straight bases-loaded walks from Isotopes starting pitcher Stephen Fife to build a 4-0 RedHawks lead.
A sacrifice fly by Ruben Sosa and RBI single by Trevor Crowe pushed the RedHawks to a 6-0 advantage in the opening inning.
Albuquerque scored runs in the fourth and fifth innings to cut into Oklahoma City's lead. Chili Buss hit a ground ball to second that was deflected by pitcher Bobby Doran and scored Dee Gordon. A RBI single by Rusty Ryal made the score, 6-2.
Crowe went 2-for-3 to lead the RedHawks. He also recorded an RBI and scored a run Monday.
Doran (2-0) pitched 7.0 innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits, walked three and struck out three in the win. Relievers Eric Berger and Jose Cisnero combined to pitch two shutout innings to close out the game.
Fife (1-4) lasted one-third of an inning, allowing six runs, one hit and walking five in the loss.
The RedHawks conclude their five-game series against Albuquerque at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
