
RedHawks Sign Icenogle

FARGO, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed LHP Jeff Icenogle to a contract, the Northern League club announced today.
Icenogle (ICE-nog-el), 25, pitched this season with the Lancaster JetHawks of the California League (A), an affiliate of the Houston Astros. He was 0-4 with a 6.79 ERA in 19 games (eight starts). Icenogle pitched 53.0 innings and allowed 44 runs (40 earned) on 76 hits. He struck out 49 batters and walked 23.
In 2008, Icenogle was 3-10 with a 4.58 ERA in 23 games (22 starts) with the Lexington Legends of the South Atlantic League (A). He pitched 106.0 innings and allowed 58 runs (54 earned) on 113 hits. Icenogle struck out 116 batters and walked 45.
Icenogle is expected to make his first start with the RedHawks on Saturday night against the Schaumburg Flyers.
The RedHawks have also placed LHP Broc Coffman on the 7-day disabled list, retroactive to July 12.
