RedHawks Continue Trip in Tucson-- The Oklahoma City RedHawks continue an eight-game roadtrip with game two of a four-game series against the Tucson Padres tonight at 9:00 p.m. CT...The RedHawks are coming off a 2-2 series split at Las Vegas...OKC is 26-35 in road games during 2011...Oklahoma City enter Sunday fourth place in the American Southern division, 17.0 games behind first place Round Rock, and 6.0 games behind third place New Orleans...The Tucson Padres are third place in the Pacific Southern division, 16.5 games behind first place Sacramento...
Tonight's Probable Pitchers-- LH Andy Van Hekken (29G, 13GS, 6-4, 3.27 ERA) carries the second-best ERA into tonight's game against Tucson...Van Hekken is coming off a no-decision last time out at Las Vegas, giving up six runs, five earned, with 13 hits over 5.2 innings on August 3...Van Hekken won his previous two outings prior to the Las Vegas appearance...Tucson starter Jeremy Hefner (22GS, 8-5, 5.46) has won back-to-back outings, including his last appearance on August 3, giving up four earned runs and 10 hits over 5.1 innings against New Orleans...
Last Game: August 7- OKC RedHawks 13, Tucson Padres 5-- Anderson Hernandez was 5-for-7 while Chris Johnson and Robinson Cancel each drove in three runs leading the RedHawks to a 13-5 win over Tucson before 2,206 Sunday evening at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium...Xavier Cedeno (1-1) dealt four relief innings with three runs and five hits in a relief win...John Van Benschoten (1-4) took the loss, giving up five earned runs and nine hits over four innings in his fifth start with Tucson...Anderson Hernandez collected five hits in the #2 spot of the lineup, while Johnson drove him in with hits in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings...Robinson Cancel also was 2x3 with 3 RBI and 3 walks...Koby Clemens his OKC's lone home run on a first pitch, pinch-hit blast leading off the eighth inning...RedHawks starting pitcher Sergio Perez left the game after 1.0 inning plus two batters with a reaggrevation of a previous groin injury...
Perez to DL, Happ Active-- Last night's starter Sergio Perez has been placed on the disabled list with a reaggravation of a lingering groin injury...P J.A. Happ has been added to the OKC active roster today, and is scheduled to make a start on the final day of the Tucson series (August 10)... In 22 starts with Houston, Happ was 4-14 with a 6.26 ERA (83 ER/119.1IP) with 63 walks and 100 strikeouts...Happ was 1-5 over his last six starts with Houston...
Hernandez Rolling-- Anderson Hernandez collected the first five-hit game for Oklahoma City in 2011 last night, going 5x7 in the win over Tucson...The hits also increased a hitting streak to six games...Four of the six games have been multi-hit games...Hernandez is currently batting .295 with 5 HR and 42 RBI...Hernandez was locked in during the month of July, posting a .353 (30x85) average, and has improved in August with a .500 (15x30) mark...
Double Play Defense-- The Oklahoma City RedHawks lead the Pacific Coast League with 138 double plays...The next-closest teams are Salt Lake and Memphis with 132 double plays...Iowa is last in the PCL with 85 twin-killings...
