RH Geoff Geary (3-4, 4.80) vs. RH Seth Etherton (1-0, 3.30)

TONIGHT: Geoff Geary will make his second straight spot start and fourth of the year as OKC hosts Albuquerque in the third of a 4-game set. The Isotopes took last night's game 8-5 to level the series 1-1 and the season series at 3-3. OKC leads the American South Division by 1.5 games over the Isotopes. The series features the league's top offense vs. the No. 1 pitching staff. Albuquerque tops the PCL in batting average, slugging, on-base percentage and runs, while OKC's pitching staff has the lowest ERA and has allowed the fewest homers and runs. Seth Etherton is due to start for Albuquerque.

SPECIAL JERSEYS TONIGHT: The RedHawks will wear special jerseys for tonight's game. The jerseys will be auctioned during the evening with the proceeds benefitting the Limbs for Life Foundation, which is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fully functional prosthetic care for individuals who cannot otherwise afford it and raising awareness of the challenges facing amputees.

FIRST INNING TURNAROUND: After scoring at least 1 first-inning run in their previous 3 games (9 total), OKC was blanked in the first inning last night in an 8-5 defeat. Albuquerque scored a single run in the first, snapping a stretch of 5 straight scoreless opening innings by OKC starters. For the season, the RedHawks have out-scored the opposition in the first inning 35-21.

FUN WITH NUMBERS: Last night's 8-5 defeat dropped the RedHawks' record to 0-6 when scoring exactly 5 runs in a game. When allowing 8, the RedHawks are 0-4.

STREAKS: Chris Davis is on a season-high 10-game hitting streak, during which he's 18-for-37 (.486) with 2 homers and 8 RBIs. Ryan Garko brings a 20-game on-base streak into tonight. He has reached in every game played as a RedHawk since debuting May 20 at Portland. Brandon Boggs has reached in 17 straight and is tied for fourth in the league in walks (with Esteban German) with 35. Hernan Iribarren entered last night's game as a pinch runner in the seventh inning and had one hitless at bat as the DH, ending an 8-game hitting streak.

TO THE GOOD: The RedHawks own the best run differential in the league, having scored 310 runs while allowing 238, +72. Fresno is second at +65. The Durham Bulls of the International League have the best run differential among Triple-A teams with a +134, having scored 358 while allowing 224 runs in building the IL's best record as 38-24.

PITCHING TOPS IN PCL: OKC leads the PCL in team ERA at 3.45 despite allowing 14 runs in the first 2 games of this series. Iowa is second at 3.65. The RedHawks have allowed the fewest home runs in the league (31), 12 fewer than the closest teams, Fresno and Tacoma. OKC has allowed the fewest runs (238) and earned runs (206), while compiling the second-most strikeouts (450) behind Sacramento (458).

BULLPEN UPDATE: In the past 25 games, OKC's bullpen has worked 95.2 innings, allowing 20 earned runs (1.88 ERA) on 64 hits while going 6-2. The bullpen's collective ERA has dipped below the starters. The relief corps has a 3.41 ERA, the starters 3.46.

GOING DEEP: OKC has collected 52 homers, fifth-most in the PCL. The RedHawks have 25 homers at The Brick and 27 on the road. Half of OKC's homers (26 of 52) have been with 2 outs in an inning. Thirteen homers have tied the score or given them the lead in the fifth inning or later. The 2009 RedHawks had 7 such homers in all of last season. OKC has been out-homered 3-0 in this series and 8-4 in the season series. When the RedHawks hit a home run, they are 22-11. When homerless, they're 11-16.
