SPLIT AT THE ROCK: Round Rock scored all its runs in a 3-inning span last night in a 7-4 win over Oklahoma City at Dell Diamond. The series was a split, with OKC winning the first two. The RedHawks took a 1-0 lead on an RBI single by Esteban German in the third, but Round Rock countered with 3 in the bottom of the third off Luis Mendoza (2-4), who lasted 3 innings-plus in the loss. The Express followed with two in the fourth and two more in the fifth, the last 2 off reliever A.J. Murray. OKC had 11 singles, but was out-hit by Round Rock, which collected 15 hits including a 2-run homer by Tommy Manzella. OKC rallied for 3 in the seventh against Bud Norris (4-8) who went 8 innings for the win, to conclude the scoring. Casey Daigle earned his second save of the season and second in as many games by pitching the ninth.

THE BIG A: Joaquin Arias extended his hitting streak to 10 games last night with a seventh-inning single. Arias is 19-for-49 (.388) during the streak, which matches the third-longest by a RedHawk this season and currently is the team's best.

MORE STREAKS: Julio Borbon has reached base by hit or walk in 16 consecutive games dating to June 21, which was before his recall by Texas. Royce Huffman lengthened his on-base streak to 13 games last night by going 1-for-4. Huffman had an 11-game hitting streak snapped on Saturday, but has hit safely in 12 of 13.

GERMAN'S DAILY UPDATE: OKC's Esteban German drove in 2 runs and went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly last night. German, the PCL's "Top Star" in last week All-Star Game, has hit safely in 17 of his last 19, going 28-for-75 (.373) with 18 RBIs in that span. German is sixth in the league in batting with a .323 average, second in the PCL in on-base percentage at .423 and tied for third in walks with 53.

BULLPEN ALL ABOUT WINNING: The RedHawks' bullpen has not had a losing decision since June 17. Each of the RedHawks last 11 losses has gone to the starting pitcher. The relief corps has earned 9 wins since its last loss.

KEEPING IT IN THE PARK: OKC pitching enters this series having allowed the fewest homers in the league (59), one better than Las Vegas. New Orleans has gone deep against OKC 12 times in 8 games, however, accounting for 20.3 per cent of the Hawks' total home runs allowed. The Zephyrs have homered in all 8 games vs. OKC this season, 6 in each series.

PITCHER'S PARK? The RedHawks sported an ERA of 6.27 in 4 games at Zephyr Field June 11-14 (33 IP, 23 ER). OKC's road ERA is 4.85, but it's 3.87 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark

CLOSE SHAVES: The RedHawks are 10-3 in extra-inning games, second in the league behind Sacramento's 12-3 mark. OKC has won 4 straight extra-inning games dating to a win over Nashville in 11 innings June 18. The RedHawks lead the PCL with 19 wins in one-run games (19-11). OKC has a PCL-best 11 wins (11-3) in games tied after 8 innings.
