TODAY'S OPPONENT:
The Fresno Grizzlies are the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Last season, the Grizzlies finished fourth in the Pacific South with a record of 61-83.
VS. FRESNO:
The RedHawks won three of four games last season at The Brick. The RedHawks pitching staff had a 2.13 ERA, allowing only nine earned runs in the series. The RedHawks lead the all-time series 37-18.
TODAY'S GAME:
This is game 111 of the season, the third of 4 meetings between Oklahoma and Fresno this season.
LAST GAME:
The RedHawks lost Game 2 of their series with Fresno, losing 4-3 last night. The Grizzlies scored single runs in the second, fourth, fifth and sixth as they built a 4-0 lead. The RedHawks scored two runs in the seventh on Nate Gold's 2-run homer. The Hawks added another run in the ninth but left the bases loaded, falling short 4-3. Starter Robinson Tejeda took the loss, allowing all four run on nine hits in 5.1 innings. The RedHawks haven't scored a run in Tejeda's two starts this season.
PITCHING MATCHUP: Edinson Volquez
makes his fourth start of the season for the RedHawks. He won Sunday against Tacoma, allowing four runs on eight hits in five innings. Volquez lost his start against the Grizzlies last season at The Brick, allowing six runs (four earned) on four hits and seven walks in just three innings. Matt Palmer goes to the mound for the Grizzlies. Palmer hasn't faced the RedHawks in his career.
MORE THAN THREE:
The RedHawks allowed more than three earned runs in a road game for only the fourth time in the last 16 road games. They are 12-4 in their last 16 road games after losing last night. The pitching staff has a 3.09 ERA in during the that time. The Hawks are hitting .295 with 23 homers in the last 16 road games. They have outscored their opponents 109-57 on during that time.
TURNING IT OVER TO THE PEN :
The RedHawks bullpen hasn't allowed a run in the five consecutive games. They've allowed only two earned runs over the last 19.2 innings with 17 strikeouts.

LEAGUE LEADERS: Mike Wood
leads the PCL with a 3.23 ERA. Guzman leads the league with 41 stolen bases. Hulett is fifth with 77 runs scored.
DOT-DOT-DOT:
The RedHawks are 10-6 on Friday this season...the Hawks have allowed the opposing team to score first in nine of the last 10 games...the RedHawks have at least one double in five straight games...a RedHawk starter has made it through the sixth inning only twice in the last nine games. The Hawks are 16-36 when a starter fails to get through the sixth and 39-19 when the starter goes six plus innings.
