TODAY'S OPPONENT:

The Albuquerque Isotopes are the Triple-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 2003 when they moved from Calgary. Last year, the Isotopes finished fourth in the American South Division with a 70-72 record.

VS. ALBUQUERQUE:

The two teams split a four-game series at Isotopes Park June 11-14. First game of series was rained out and made up as part of a doubleheader June 13. The RedHawks won the first game of the doubleheader and the final game of series. The teams have split the eight games they have played this season.

TODAY'S GAME:

This is game 71 of the season. It's the second of a three-game series and the 10th of 15 meetings between Oklahoma and Albuquerque this season. This is the second of eight games in seven days for the RedHawks at The Brick.

ROSTER MOVES:

RHP Jorge Vasquez was transferred to Double-A Frisco yesterday after the game.

LAST GAME:

The RedHawks scored two unearned runs in the ninth for a 3-2 win. Starter Alfredo Simon allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits in six innings. The two teams combined for 11 stolen bases, six by the Isotopes and five for the RedHawks. The Isotopes' four errors were the most by a RedHawk opponent all season.

PITCHING MATCHUP:

John Koronka makes his 13th start of the season for the RedHawks. Koronka earned his fifth win of the season in his last start Thursday at Albuquerque. He went 5.2 innings and allowed a run on four hits. Daniel Barone will start for the Isotopes.

SETTING THE TONE:

RedHawk starters are 6-2 with a 2.95 ERA, including eight quality starts, over the last 13 home games. For the season, the RedHawks have a home ERA of 4.35.

BOTTS AT THE BRICK: Jason Botts

has hit safely in 22 consecutive home games, and has reached base safely in 26 staight home games. In June, Botts is hitting .368 with two homers and 10 RBIs.

3, 4 PUNCH:

The RedHawks are 9-5 with Botts and Nate Gold hitting in the three and four spots in the lineup this season. The RedHawks scored the winning run on Gold's fielder's choice last night. The RedHawks have a received a hit from at least one of the two in 16 of 18 games this month. In June, Gold is hitting .379 with three homers and 21 RBIs.

NELSON CRUZ: Nelson Cruz's

seven-game hit streak ended last night after he went 0-for-3 with an RBI. Cruz has made the most of his stint with the RedHawks. In 12 games since joining the RedHawks, Cruz is hitting .316 (12-38) with four home runs and 11 RBIs. Last night was the first game Cruz didn't reach base since joining the RedHawks.

HAWKS AMONG THE LEAGUE LEADERS:

Botts is tied for first in the PCL with 24 doubles and he is third with a .420 on-base percentage. Freddy Guzman is tied for 1st with 21 stolen bases.

DOT-DOT-DOT:

The four stolen bases last night were the most in a game for the RedHawks this season. Guzman stole two bases, Tug Hulett and Kevin Mahar each stole one...the RedHawks won for just the fifth time this season when scoring three runs or less, making their record 5-22 when scoring three runs or less...the RedHawks are 5-7 on Thursday's this season...Hawk hitters have drawn the second most walks in the PCL this season with 283.
