
Pink at the Park Set for Friday Night

Fresno, CA- This Friday night, fans at Chukchansi Park will being seeing pink. The Fresno Grizzlies are proud to be teaming up with the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation to present the inaugural Pink at the Park event.
Beginning with a pink tote bag giveaway to the first 2,000 fans, Friday night's game against the Portland Beavers will seek to raise awareness and funds for women's cancer research and domestic violence prevention. In addition to the pink tote bags, the first 1,000 fans will also receive Rally Towels courtesy of Rally's.
On the field, Grizzlies players will be wearing pink and white themed jerseys which will be available to fans in a live postgame jersey auction. Proceeds from the live auction will go to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation, which was founded in 1996 and has since awarded millions of dollars in grants across the country including a $20,000 grant in 2006 to the Marjoree Mason Center in Madera. Fans can also help the cause by wearing pink to the game. For each fan purchasing a ticket wearing pink on Friday, the Grizzlies will donate $1 from the ticket sale to the foundation.
Following the game, there will be an on-field ceremony honoring survivors of both cancer and domestic violence. Of course, Friday night also means that there will be fireworks as Together Rx Access presents another epic postgame Friday Night Fireworks show.
"Having the opportunity to partner with the Fresno Grizzlies in order to raise money and awareness for such a worthy cause is truly awesome!" says Karen Getty-Hopkins, Executive Director with Mary Kay. "The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation will donate 97 cents from every dollar raised directly to research and funding. I encourage everyone to bring a friend to the ballpark and enjoy a game while helping support such a great cause!"
