Today's Game: The RedHawks continue a four-game series against Tacoma with during today's field trip day game at 11:05 a.m. Oklahoma City looks to extend its current streak of eight consecutive home wins at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. This is the only series of the season between Oklahoma City and Tacoma, which currently have the best records in their respective conferences.
Last Game: Pitcher Jarred Cosart recorded a team season-high 10 strikeouts to lead the RedHawks in a 6-1 win against league-leading Tacoma. The combined 14 strikeouts by RedHawks pitchers were also the most for OKC in a game this season. Jake Elmore led the RedHawks offensively, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI triple. OKC took a 3-0 lead in the third inning before Marc Krauss led off the bottom of the fourth inning with his team-leading seventh home run of the season. Brett Wallace had a game-high three RBI, including two on a home run in the eighth inning. Carlos Peguero broke up the shutout bid with a homer in the top of the ninth.
Today's Probable Pitcher: Brad Peacock makes his RedHawks season debut after being optioned to Oklahoma City on May 2 from Houston. Peacock appeared in six games with the Astros this season, starting five, and posted a 1-3 record along with a 9.41 ERA...Only one of his starts lasted five innings, and he allowed seven home runs while with Houston, including three in a 4.1-inning outing against Seattle April 22...Peacock picked up his first win of the season April 10 at Seattle, throwing five innings and allowing three runs on four hits with three strikeouts and one walk...Peacock spent the entire 2012 season with the Sacramento River Cats in the Oakland organization, going 12-9 in 28 appearances, with 25 starts. His 12 wins led A's minor leaguers and tied for fourth in the PCL...He was traded to Houston along with Chris Carter and Max Stassi in exchange for Jed Lowrie and Fernando Rodriguez right before the start of spring training...In three starts against the Rainiers last year, Peacock went 0-1 with a 5.54 ERA.

The two teams met for a four-game series in Tacoma in August 2012, which the Rainiers won, 3-1...Tacoma won the third game of the series with a walk-off home run from Nick Franklin in the bottom of the 11th inning (4-3)...Jimmy Paredes led the RedHawks with six hits, including one home run, three RBI and three runs scored...Each team totaled 35 hits apiece during the 2012 series...During their previous series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in 2011, the teams split a four-game set with the RedHawks winning the first two games...OKC last won more than two games in a season against the Rainiers in 2005 when they swept the season series, 4-0.
Kall Him Kosart: Jarred Cosart's 10 strikeouts were the most for a RedHawks pitcher since Rich Harden struck out 10 in an Aug. 18, 2010 game against Reno. Cosart also tied a career high, and his last game with 10 strikeouts came May 15, 2010 while he pitched for the Lakewood BlueClaws, the Low-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. His four wins this season are tied for the league lead, while his current 2.18 ERA ranks sixth. Cosart's 39 strikeouts are the fourth-most in the league and the most among Astros minor leaguers.
Running With the Pac: The RedHawks are in the midst of a stretch of 16-straight games against Pacific Conference foes, going 1-0 so far. Last season the RedHawks went 14-17 against the other side of the league, including an 8-7 mark at home.
Familiar Foe: Jake Elmore added to his recent individual success against Tacoma yesterday, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI triple. Elmore spent the majority of the 2012 season with the Reno Aces, hitting .419 (16x43) with 17 RBI in just 11 games against the Rainiers. He's had at least one hit in every game he's played against Tacoma in his career.
Wally World: Brett Wallace is starting to heat up, riding an eight-game hit streak during which he has hit .419 (13-for-31). He has five home runs this season, including three in the last three games. During the second game of Sunday's doubleheader at Iowa, he became the first RedHawk to hit more than one home run in a game this season. He has a team-high 10 hits in the last six games for OKC.
Boys of Bricktown: The RedHawks are in a stretch of 24 home games in 33 days in downtown Oklahoma City. So far they are 11-6 and have won the last eight in a row. The RedHawks are hitting .318 at home, led by Jonathan Villar who has hit .397 (27x68) and collected 16 RBI. OKC is one of four teams in the PCL with at least 11 home wins already this season. Three of those teams with 11-plus home wins are in the RedHawks' PCL American Southern Division.
Home Hurlers: During the team's current eight-game home win streak, the pitching staff has posted a 2.35 ERA (18 ER/69 IP). They have allowed two or les runs six times and allowed more than three runs just once.
Valiant Villar: Shortstop Jonathan Villar is hitting .400 (34x85) over his last 21 games. After getting off to a 2-for-34 start, Villar has been one of the best hitters in the league. Since April 15, he has more hits (34) than anyone else in the PCL.
Swipe Out: OKC leads the league with 46 stolen bases, including 25 in the last 10 games. They have stolen at least one base in 10 consecutive games. Trevor Crowe (11) and Jonathan Villar (10) both rank in the top five in the league.
RISP Management: The RedHawks are just 5-for-32 (.156) with runners in scoring position over the last four games.
Rise and Shine: Today is the first of five games the RedHawks will play this season that begin in the morning. The RedHawks went 2-2 in a.m. games last year.
